Morandi 작품 전시회 (Morandi's Works Exhibition)

옛날에도 그랬지만 규모가 크고 화려한것을 사람들은 좋아합니다. 음폭도 작고 간단한 구조의 가곡 보다 높은 고음과 화려한 칼라의 오케스트라가 받쳐주는 오페라 팬이 많은것은 당연해 보입니다. 미술에서도 예외는 아닌듯 싶습니다. 사이즈가 크고 생각지도 못한 소재를 다루며 찐한 색들을 사용하여 스펙타클한 모습을 보여 주는 작품들이 아무래도 인기가 높습니다.

그런데 20세기 초반, 단순한 소재로 차이가 정말 미세한 칼라들로 조용히 칠해진 비슷비슷 한 정물화를 고집스럽게 많이 그린 이탈리안 화가, 모란디 (Morandi)의 작품은 웬지 꿈적도 않던 우리들의 무디고 굳어있는 마음을 움직에게 하는 무언가가 있는듯 합니다.

People always like things that are large and fancy. There are many fans of opera, supported by a high-pitched and colorful orchestra rather than songs with small ranges and simple structures. Art is no exception. Large works that deal with unexpected materials and use vivid colors to show spectacular appearances are popular.

However, in the early 20th century, Italian painter Morandi stubbornly painted many similar still life paintings quietly with simple materials and very subtle colors, and his works seemed to have something that moved our dull and hardened hearts that were not moving at all.

지난 월요일 11월 26일 센추럴 파크와 5 에비뉴, 63가 코너의 자리잡은 마티아 델루카 갤러리(Galleria Mattia De Luca)에서 "모란디"전을 감사하고 간단한 소감을 적어보았습니다.

On Monday, November 26th, I visited the "Morandi" exhibition at the Galleria Mattia De Luca, located at the corner of Central Park, 5th Avenue, and 63rd Street, and wrote a brief review.
